Brian Stephens is the Co-Director, Policing, Security Technology, and Private Security Research and Policy Institute.  He is also the Senior Managing Director with Teneo Risk Advisory.

Previously he served as Bank of America’s Chief Security Officer responsible for the security and safety of nearly 210,000 employees, 6,000 Banking Centers, 17,000 ATMs and over 2000 office buildings in more than 40 countries. He lead a team of over 450 security professionals and 5,000 private contractors in providing for the security and safety of Bank of America’s employees, customers, assets and brand.

Darrel Stephens is the Co-Director of the FSU Policing, Security Technology and Private Security Research Policy Institute.  He served as the Executive Director of the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) and the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF). Over his 50 year career he has served as police chief in four cities, including nine years (September 1999 to June 2008) as the Chief of the 2100 member Charlotte- Mecklenburg Police Department.. He served as one of two technical advisors to the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing.
